1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device. It allows the site to recognise your browser and remember information about your visit. In this notice, cookies also covers similar technologies such as browser local storage.
A session cookie is deleted when you close your browser. A persistent cookie stays on your device for a set period or until you delete it. A first-party cookie is set by Rahoo, a third-party cookie by another service provider. The duration and provider of each cookie are shown in the list in section 8.
2. Why we use cookies
We use cookies to keep the site technically functional, to remember your cookie choices, to keep the site secure and to understand how the site is used. We do not use cookies for profiling that would lead to automated decision-making concerning you.
This notice concerns the rahoo.fi website. Processing of personal data related to financing applications is described separately in the financing application privacy notice.
3. Cookie categories
Cookies are divided into five categories. Cookies other than necessary ones are set only after you have given your consent.

4. Consent and withdrawing it
When you first arrive on the site, you see a cookie banner. You can accept all cookies, select the categories you accept, or decline all cookies other than necessary ones.
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing is as easy as giving consent: open the settings from the Cookie settings link in the page footer. Withdrawal applies to future processing and does not make processing carried out earlier on the basis of consent unlawful.
Your cookie consent is valid for 12 months, after which we ask again. We store a consent identifier, the date and the categories you selected so that we can demonstrate that consent was given.
5. Cookies in partner services
Where Rahoo's financing application is embedded in a partner's service, that service may set Rahoo's cookies. At this stage of collection and transfer, Rahoo and the partner are joint controllers within the meaning of Article 26 of the GDPR. The arrangement is described on the Joint controllers page.
Consent to cookies is requested by the service you are using. The partner's own cookies are described in the partner's own cookie notice.
In addition to rahoo.fi, your cookie consent covers Rahoo's other domains that use the same consent solution. You therefore do not need to give consent again when moving from one service to another.
6. Third parties
Some cookies on the site are set by third parties. The providers in use at any given time are shown in the list in section 8.

Some third-party services may transfer data outside the EU and EEA. Such transfers use safeguards required by the GDPR, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision. Transfers are described in more detail in the website privacy notice.
7. Browser settings
You can block cookies or delete stored cookies in your browser settings. Instructions are available in your browser's help.
If you block all cookies, some functions of the site may stop working. Blocking necessary cookies may, for example, prevent your cookie choices from being stored, in which case the banner is shown on every visit.
8. Cookie list
Below is a list of all cookies used on the site. For each cookie the list states its name, provider, purpose, duration and type. The list updates automatically when the site is scanned each month.
9. Changes to this notice
We update this notice when the cookies on the site, the services used or the legislation change. The list in section 8 also updates automatically without any other change to the notice. The current version and effective date are shown at the top of this page.
